Summary
The NACE Coaching Certification Program (CCP) is a training program designed for career services members wishing to demonstrate their success as a career coach using proven ethical and professional standards in their pursuit of the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential offered through the Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc. (CCE).

The BCC credential is a mark of distinction for credential holders and a source of credibility for their clients. A BCC has met professional coaching competency standards established by CCE and subject matter experts.

The BCC certification demonstrates to the public that a professional coach has:
- Met educational and training requirements.
- Passed a psychometrically sound coach-specific examination.
- Obtained experience in the field of coaching.
- Professional peer references.
- Accountability to an enforceable ethics code.
- Commitment to continuing education.
The achievement of the BCC credential solidifies the professional identity of the coach. The BCC credential is attractive to professionals who would like to provide independent third-party verification that they have achieved certain coaching competency standards.

Pamela Basheer, Instructional Facilitator, Pamela Basheer
Pamela Basheer currently is the assistant director for experiential learning in the Office of Career Services at North Carolina Agricultural &Technical State University (N.C. A&T). She has approximately 20 years of experience in higher education, with a specialty in the areas of career and professional development, employer relations, and student development. Her areas of competencies within career services include, but are not limited to, training and development, marketing, relationship building, creating policies and procedures, assessment administration, data analysis, personnel management, strategic planning, and project management. She holds a Master of Science degree in counseling and Bachelor of Science in education, both received from North Carolina A&T State University. In addition to her experience, she serves on the Board of Visitors for N.C. A&T. She is also a NACE coaching faculty member and a certified True Color and Business Professional Etiquette facilitator.

Chaim Shapiro, Executive Director: Undergraduate Career Services, Touro University
Chaim Shapiro, M.Ed., is the director of the Office for Student Success at Touro College and a freelance writer, public speaker, and social media consultant specializing in LinkedIn. He earned a master’s degree in college student personnel from Loyola University, Chicago, and studied in the institutional leadership and policy studies Ph.D. program at the University of California, Riverside Graduate School of Education. He has more than 17 years of experience working in college administration.

Cheryl Hicks, Sr. Associate, Isaacson, Miller
Cheryl Hicks is an associate director of diversity and inclusion programming in the Office of Personal & Career Development at Wake Forest University (WFU). In this role, she serves as a liaison between the on-campus departments of the Intercultural Center and Magnolia Scholars. Hicks leads planning of the signature event "Diversity Matters" and other diversity programs, including "The Coach Is In" and "Black Professionals Forum." She has represented WFU by presenting on diversity and inclusion topics at several industry conferences. Hicks currently serves on the SoACE Board as Director of College Knowledge Groups and past Director of Diversity and Inclusion, past executive board member for NCACE, and a member of the People of Color Affinity Group for NACE. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in higher education administration from Northeastern University. This is her sixth academic year at Wake Forest University.

Fred Burke, Director, Graduate Career Management Center, Baruch College
Fred Burke has 25 years of experience in higher-education career services. Currently, he is the director of the Graduate Career Management Center at The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, which is part of (CUNY) City University of New York. He has been an active NACE mentor for more than 10 years and was the NACE Mentor of the Year in 2019. Burke also has been active in a variety of NACE committees and served on the NACE Board of Directors from 2017 through 2019. Currently, he serves as a faculty member for the NACE Career Coaching Program.
