The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) has created this privacy statement to demonstrate its respect for the privacy of its members and visitors of NACEWeb. This notice explains how NACE and the NACE Center for Career Development and Talent Acquisition (the NACE Center) collect and process your Personal Data. Each time you use our Site, the current version of this Notice will apply. Accordingly, whenever you use our Site, you should check the date of this Notice and review any changes. This Notice is applicable to all NACE members and all other users of our Site.
By visiting www.naceweb.org or related properties (collectively “the Site”), you acknowledge that you have read and understood the processes and policies referred to in this Policy.
NACE is an organization based in the United States. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the data controller is the National Association of Colleges and Employers, registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with an office at 1 E Broad Street, Ste 130 – 1005, Bethlehem, PA 18018-5934 USA. The NACE Center for Career Development and Talent Acquisition has also adopted this Privacy Policy. Where your data is being collected and used by the NACE Center, all references to NACE herein shall mean the NACE Center.

NACE collects a variety of Personal Data for our services as elaborated below. Personal information is anything that enables us to identify you, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as your name, identification number, location data, online identifier or other factors specific to you, including physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
Through the Site, NACE collects Personal Data through a variety of forms. There are forms for visitors to request products, services, promotional materials, or membership information. There are forms that request financial information in order to bill for products or services ordered. Unique identifiers (specifically, your NACE password or member number) are collected from members to verify the user’s identity and for use in NACE’s record system.
Information from these forms is also used by NACE to send you information about products, services, conferences, and other information that may be of interest to you.
NACE communications contain an opt-out link that you can use. If you have difficulty
using that opt-out link, you can indicate your preferences in your account profile or contact NACE Customer Service at customerservice@naceweb.org.

Through NACE’s forms, you may provide Personal Data to us such as your name, home and/or work email address, postal address, phone number and/or fax number, your employer and job title, demographic
information about you including birth year, certification designation, and in the event of a financial transaction, your credit card information. This information is only required if you are utilizing any of the products and services on NACE’s
sites. This information is kept for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed. Once the purpose is nonexistent, the data is removed.

If you register for any credentialing or accreditation offerings, NACE uses any Personal Data you may provide in doing so in the same manner as we do when you register

Cookies and IP Addresses
The use of cookies is an industry standard, and cookies are currently used on most major websites. Most web browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you prefer, you can reset your browser
to notify you when you have received a cookie. You can also set your browser to refuse to accept cookies altogether. While NACE does not require you to use cookies, keep in mind that certain services will not function properly if you set your
browser to refuse all cookies.
Outside Websites and Advertisers
The NACE sites contain links to other outside sources. NACE is not responsible for the privacy practices of such sites. Inclusion of links to an outside website, whether in an advertisement or
content area of NACEWeb, is not an endorsement of that site or a guarantee that the information it contains is accurate.
NACE has no way of knowing whether the advertisements on any of its sites use cookies and cannot guarantee that if you click on an advertisement, you will not be required to accept a cookie from the advertiser. You should review those outside sites and/or advertisers to determine its policies regarding use of cookies.
Pursuant to the GDPR, NACE makes a commercially reasonable effort to ensure the operator of third party property complies with the above duties.
Email Addresses
NACE does not sell or rent email addresses to any individual or organization for commercial purposes. Contact information may be provided to a third party to facilitate delivery of NACE-related materials or as
part of collaborative initiatives with other organizations; in such circumstances, the third party agrees not to sell or use the information except for the purposes for which NACE has contracted.
NACE Community
NACE makes networking and chat opportunities available to its members through the NACE Community. Any information that is disclosed in this area becomes public information, and you should exercise caution when
deciding to disclose your personal information. NACE cannot control the acts of its members who use this feature. If you disclose personal information, such as your name, email address, mailing address, and/or phone number, it may be used by other
members for unsolicited email or other contact.
NACE collects all contact names and email addresses of subscribers and the dialogue generated. Dialogue on the NACE Community may be archived for later retrieval by a NACE member. Messages go to the archives as they are posted. NACE does not edit discussions provided through NACE Community
When users submit personally identifiable information via the website, the information is protected both online and offline. NACE websites have security measures equal to or better than those reasonably expected in the industry, such as firewalls, in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your Personal Data under our control. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we take reasonable precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
Incident Response
In the event of a data breach, NACE will contact local authorities within 72 hours after any breach personal information. NACE will also contact you of such a breach without undue delay. NACE promises to maintain
and continue to invest in threat detection and avoidance technologies that allow us to respond to breaches.
Opting Out of Mailing List & Directories
The National Association of Colleges and Employers provides members with the opportunity to take their names and organizations off the NACE mailing list or not to be included in
membership mailing labels that NACE sells to other organizations. Members can choose to "opt out" of participating in this function.
Also, you can choose to omit having your personal and organizational information displayed on NACE's directories. NACE's directories are searchable databases of NACE members and are made available online to members of NACE.
