The National Association of Colleges and Employers joined with other higher education associations in the Washington Higher Education Secretariat in a letter to U.S. Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona regarding a February 15 Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) regarding third-party servicers (TPS) and institutions.
The letter offers comments on the DCL, including a recommendation that the DOE rescind it and identify alternative approaches to target its concerns. The letter also identifies the new definition of third party servicer as an issue and expresses concerns about study abroad programs and other international entities not being able to meet TPS requirements.
