Workforce Development Programs & Intermediaries Task Force
Committee Description:
The Workforce Development Programs & Intermediaries Task Force will focus on exploring and enhancing NACE’s role in supporting partnerships with workforce development organizations and intermediaries that connect college talent to employers. This includes organizations like SEO, INROADS, Year Up, Forte, MLT, and others, which play a crucial role in bridging the gap between education and employment. The task force will work to define how NACE can support and partner with these groups, help develop value propositions for both employers and higher education institutions and create resources that guide members in selecting the right partners. The task force’s goal is to empower NACE members with the tools and strategies they need to engage effectively with workforce development programs and intermediaries to develop, attract and retain top talent.

• Champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Champion equitable support, representation, and opportunities for all.
• Lead Dialogue: Amplify the importance of the work of NACE and the professions by leading the dialogue among colleges, employers, policy makers, and the public.
• Provide quality research, content and programming: Increase member value through progressive research, content, and programming that address the needs of our field.
• Expand and cultivate community: Grow and diversify membership and increase audience participation, sense of belonging, and engagement.

Timeframe:
7/1/2025 to 6/30/2026
• Committee work to kick off July 1, 2025 and continue through June 30, 2026.
• Implement updates and content development throughout the year (July - June).
• Actively participate in conference calls throughout the year.
Deliverables Expected:
• Support and Partnership Development:
o You will explore how NACE can best support and partner with workforce development organizations and intermediaries like SEO, INROADS, Year Up, Forte, and MLT. This includes assessing how NACE can be a valuable resource for these organizations, helping to facilitate stronger connections between colleges, employers, and the talent these organizations serve.
• Create Value Propositions for Employers and Colleges:
o Help develop clear value propositions that demonstrate the benefits of working with workforce development organizations for both employers and colleges. You will focus on how NACE can articulate the mutual value of these partnerships and how they can enhance talent acquisition efforts for employers while supporting the career readiness of students.
• Develop Resources for Engaging with Workforce Development Programs:
o You will investigate the needs of workforce development intermediaries and determine what resources, training, and tools NACE can provide to support employers in effectively engaging with these programs. This may include creating guides, webinars, or workshops to help employers navigate the process and maximize the potential of these partnerships.
• Create a How-To-Guide for Selecting the Right Partners:
o Develop a comprehensive guide that helps members identify and select the right workforce development partners based on their needs. This will include criteria for evaluating potential intermediaries, understanding the types of support they offer, and how to build mutually beneficial relationships.
• Make the Case for Workforce Development Partnerships:
o Help identify the key factors members need to consider when deciding to partner with workforce development programs and intermediaries. This includes understanding the costs, benefits, and potential impact on talent acquisition and workforce inclusion. You will develop resources to help members build the case for these partnerships internally.
