  • Summary

    The number of people who identify as neurodiverse is rapidly rising, and college professionals are servicing students who are neurodiverse more frequently. Many career services professionals have experience working with people with disabilities but may have questions about the best way to support these students. Join us to discuss neurodiversity, identify the barriers and challenges these students face, gather tools that we can use to support this population, and collaborate to better serve our students.

    Following this program, you will be able to:

    • Participants will learn what neurodiversity is and what kind of language we should use when talking to and about people with neurodiversity;
    • Participants will be able to identify the barriers and challenges that students face during the transition from high school to college; and
    • Participants will take away multiple tools for practice that they can apply to support students who are neurodiverse.
