Summary
The number of people who identify as neurodiverse is rapidly rising, and college professionals are servicing students who are neurodiverse more frequently. Many career services professionals have experience working with people with disabilities but may have questions about the best way to support these students. Join us to discuss neurodiversity, identify the barriers and challenges these students face, gather tools that we can use to support this population, and collaborate to better serve our students.

Following this program, you will be able to:
- Participants will learn what neurodiversity is and what kind of language we should use when talking to and about people with neurodiversity;
- Participants will be able to identify the barriers and challenges that students face during the transition from high school to college; and
- Participants will take away multiple tools for practice that they can apply to support students who are neurodiverse.

Jacqueline Warner, University Success Specialist, Suitable
Jackie Warner is a new career services professional who is excited to bring her years of experience supporting students with disabilities to the NACE community! Warner graduated from the University of Delaware with a master's degree in autism and severe disabilities in 2019 and has been working in the education field since 2014. Currently, she is the assistant director of the Center for Career Success at Thomas Jefferson University in Center City, Philadelphia. Prior to working at Jefferson, Warner worked as a teacher and case manager with students with disabilities across the Eastern Mid-Atlantic States. She has experience creating individualized education plans as well as modifying academic, life, and vocational skills-centered lessons for students pre-K through 12th grade. Her experience with services provided to students with disabilities across the lifespan, specifically in the education system, will provide context and tools for career services professionals to best support students who are neurodiverse.
