Join us for the first session of NACE’s three-part employer internship webinar series, where we’ll explore key findings from the 2025 NACE Internship & Co-op Survey. Using the NACE Dashboard, presenters will highlight hiring projections, benchmarks, and industry trends in conversion rates, wages, retention, and relocation assistance to help refine your internship strategy.

  This session will summarize key points from the 2025 NACE Internship & Co-op Survey. Using the NACE Internship & Co-op Survey Dashboard, the presenters will explore key data, including hiring projections for the 2024-25 programs and benchmarks from the 2023-24 programs. The presenters will discuss industry trends in conversion rates, wages, retention, and relocation assistance. These insights will help employers understand how to shape effective internship programs.

  Shawn VanDerziel, President & Chief Executive Officer, NACE

  As president and chief executive officer of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, Shawn VanDerziel leads the association of 18,000 college career services professionals, university relations and recruiting professionals, and business solution providers that serve the community. As a leading voice on the employment of the college educated and advocate for equitable outcomes for all students, VanDerziel is featured regularly as an industry expert and is a sought-after speaker on a range of topics, including internships, hiring, career readiness, and trends in the workforce and college job market. Prior to joining the NACE staff, VanDerziel was with the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago for 23 years, where he most recently served as chief human resources officer and as chief of staff. His earlier roles included corporate recruiting with Norrell Corporation and a position in higher education as associate director of student enrollment at National Louis University.

  

  Joshua Kahn, Associate Director of Research and Public Policy, NACE

  Josh Kahn, Ph.D., is the associate director of research and public policy at the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). He earned his doctorate in educational leadership with an emphasis on quantitative research methods from the University of Oregon in 2018. His interests include using a wide-range of measurement and assessment techniques, strengthening systems and routines to enhance outcomes, and weaving together multiple sources of data to make informed decisions. At NACE, Dr. Kahn helps run the research department by developing and administering surveys, analyzing data, and disseminating results to the membership and the press. Prior to earning his Ph.D., Dr. Kahn was a special education teacher in Eugene, Oregon, and the Bronx, New York.
