MPACE’s newest partner, Career Launch, will give a sneak peek into the Inventory and how you can establish a career readiness baseline with all incoming students, provide supervisors of student employees or interns the ability to evaluate students on the NACE 8.

  Sean O'Keefe, Founder, Faculty, Career Launch

  Sean O'Keefe is Founder, Partner, and Chief Impact Officer for Career Launch, a mission-driven social enterprise that partners with colleges and career programs to scale the skillset of launching a holistic job or internship search. Sean is also an award-winning professor at Santa Clara University, where he teaches in the Business School and the First-Generation Student program. In 2020, Sean teamed up with his colleague, Professor Barry Posner, a researcher and best-selling author of The Leadership Challenge and The Student Leadership Challenge, to conduct their first annual nationwide research survey called "Networking & Career Readiness of College Students: A Nationwide Survey," which was published in the NACE Journal.

  

  Lori Brown, Director of Partnerships & Impact, Career Launch

  Lori Brown is the Director of Impact and Partnerships at Career Launch and previously served as the Director of the Center for Career and Calling at Seattle Pacific University, where she brought Career Launch to campus. Lori served as the Pacific Northwest Regional Director for the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE), and also served as the Publicity Chairperson for the regional MPACE conference. Having spoken at national seminars and conferences for NACE, MPACE, NASPA, Career Leadership Collective, and the Liberal Arts College Network, Lori is a seasoned presenter who brings fresh ideas and energy to presentations. Prior to joining Career Launch, Lori spent 10 years in higher ed and 20 years in the nonprofit sector. Lori served as a chief fundraiser for the American Lung Association of Washington; led a national effort to increase funding and aid in the NGO sector at World Vision; and managed large-scale, international, national, and local events such as the Goodwill Games, the Seattle Bumbershoot Festival, climbs of Mount Rainier, and bicycle rides through the San Juan Islands, across the state of Washington, and across the U.S. Lori earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of Washington and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Seattle Pacific University and is currently a student at Seattle Pacific University Seminary.
