Summary
If you have a degree in engineering, computer sciences, or the hard sciences, you can take the Office’s Registration Exam to become a Patent Agent. The Exam is available virtually on-demand. Becoming a patent agent can also be a step toward becoming a Patent Attorney.

Mark Dighton is PLI’s administrative director of the Patent Office Exam Course, a position he has held for more than 25 years. Prior to PLI, he worked for West Publishing and other companies helping students prepare for the various state bar exams.
