Recruitment, Retention, and Revenue: Bringing Together Manufacturing and a Liberal Arts College
Description:
Liberal arts colleges usually do not form partnerships with manufacturing companies. However, one liberal arts college did just that! In this session, Carthage College and LMI Packaging will co-present diverse viewpoints on how to solve the problem of the talent shortage in manufacturing and build a relationship with a local liberal arts college. Learning Objectives: Understand the relationship between liberal arts education and manufacturing opportunities through experiential learning. Define challenges and benefits connecting employers and colleges/universities to talent pipeline recruitment. Determine next steps to approach local employers and college/universities to build partnership.
