The NACE First-Destination Surveys Team developed standards and protocols for colleges and universities to use in collecting and reporting graduating student career outcomes data. Developed by practitioners for practitioners, the standards and protocols also reflect feedback provided during the public comment period by more than 100 career services professionals.

These standards and protocols are designed to address the needs of individual institutions to track outcomes in response to stakeholder interests. They are also designed to address the growing demand by accrediting bodies and governmental agencies for more consistent, comparable, and reliable outcomes data.

Along with the standards, NACE is providing reporting tools that may be used to share outcomes data with NACE on a voluntary basis. This will enable our professional community to track trends and inform the public policy debate concerning the value of higher education.
