Summary
Coaches will closely examine ethical guidelines from the Center for Credentialing & Education and the International Coaching Federation, exploring scenarios where ethical considerations must occur. Through facilitated conversation, coaches will explore standards for professional coaching, strategies for managing the client/coach relationship, and avenues for continued professional development as a coaching practitioner. Topics of discussion include unconscious bias, the coaching process, ethics in coaching, coaching agreements, and confidentiality in coaching.

- Outlets for continued development,
- Best practices for informing clients of ethical and legal aspects of coaching, and
- Benefits of professional collaboration for support and leadership.

- Identify strategies that contribute to establishing trust using ethical standards as a foundation for relationship management;

Meg Flournoy, Director, Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business
Meg Flournoy is sector director, global and health, for the Career Management Center at The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Flournoy is an experienced career services professional providing guidance to graduate business students and alumni from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University interested in general management and global opportunities. She has experience with global career business development, the healthcare industry, coaching, and advising. Flournoy developed coaching skills through positions at the University of Maryland, University College, Muhlenberg College, and Lafayette College. Over the past 15 years, she has worked with undergraduate liberal arts students, engineering students, and evening graduate school students. She has also worked with divisions of companies on the topics of staff development, self-assessment, and team building. Flournoy holds a master's degree in counseling psychology from Lehigh University, and a bachelor's degree in political science from Susquehanna University. Flournoy is past president of the Susquehanna University alumni association.
