    What should I wear to an event?

    NACE events are set in a relaxed, professional atmosphere. Attire is business casual. Meeting room temperatures can be cool and the climate may vary, so it is recommended that you wear layered clothing for comfort.

    I cannot attend, but my colleague can. What do I do?

    You can transfer your registration to a colleague by following these steps:

    • Submit your request in writing to events@naceweb.org at least 10 business days before the program’s scheduled start date.
    • Include your registration confirmation with your written request.

    Only one transfer is allowed per original registration.
    (Please note: NACE reserves the right to deny substitution requests, in advance or on site.)

    I need to cancel my registration. Can I get my money back?

    NACE does not provide refunds, but does give credit provided the cancellation request is submitted in writing to events@naceweb.org at least five business days before the program’s scheduled start date.

    Cancellation requests received five of more business days before a program’s scheduled start date will be processed as a credit equal to the value of the cancelled registration, and will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The credit may be used on any NACE product or service, but may only be used by the individual to whom it was issued.

    Cancellation requests received fewer than five business days before a program’s scheduled start date, including on-site “no shows,” are not eligible for refund as a credit.

    Can I get NBCC/HRCI credits for attending an event?

    NACE is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) as qualified to offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for National Certified Counselors and credits for PHR/SPHR. Some presentations will be available for recertification credits.

    What meals are included in my registration?

    Please refer to the specific program information online for details about meals.

    As a NACE member, do I save any money on my registration?

    Yes—this is a key benefit of membership, and NACE members enjoy steep discounts on events. Although the size of the discount ranges depending on the event, your membership can save you as much as 35 percent of the regular price of the event.

    My boss is a NACE member. Can I attend at the member rate, too?

    You must have your own membership to receive the member rate. For details about membership, see our website.

    Are there group rates available?

    NACE has a standard group discount policy for all professional development events, both in-person and online. These discounts do not apply to the Management Leadership Institute.

    • If five or more staff from the same organization register, NACE will grant a 5 percent per registrant discount off of the applicable member or nonmember rate for each registrant.
    • If 10 or more staff from the same organization register, NACE will grant a 10 percent per registrant discount off of the applicable member or nonmember rate for each registrant.
