Institutionalizing a Multi-college NACE Career Competency Framework
Description:
This session will provide the audience tangible ways for colleges to incorporate a NACE competency framework to their everyday practices through an integrated approach between career services and academic advisement. This session highlights a two-year career redevelopment across 12 colleges in City University of New York's ASAP and ACE programs. Learning Objectives: Integrate career competencies throughout multiple areas of a college beyond career services. Understand the various levels of buy-in necessary to institutionalize a career competency framework, inclusive of program leadership, academic advisors, career staff, as well as institutional research and evaluation teams. Identify certain practices learned in this session that can be replicated at participants’ local institutions and colleges to strengthen career development for students.
