Users do not have to accept cookies to use the website. Those who do allow cookies should be aware that cookies can track the pages the user visits. (Note: The only personal information that a cookie contains is information you supply. A cookie cannot read other data from your computer's hard disk.)
The NACE website contains links to other sites. NACE is not responsible for the privacy practices of such websites. Inclusion of links to an outside website, whether in an advertisement or content area of NACEWeb or NACElink, is not an endorsement of the outside or a guarantee that the information it contains is accurate.
You may be asked to use an online form to request information, products, and services. These forms may ask for contact information, unique identifiers (such as your NACE membership number), financial information (such as a credit card), and/or demographic information. Contact information from these forms is used to send the products, promotional materials, or membership information that you request, or to register you for roundtables, conferences, or workshops. Forms on NACE’s sites that request financial information do so in order to bill for products or services ordered. Unique identifiers (specifically, your password or member number) are collected from members to verify the user's identity and for use in NACE’s record system. Information from these forms is also used by NACE to send you information about products, services, conferences, and other information that may be if interest to you. NACE communications contain an opt-out link that you can use. If you have difficulty using that opt-out link, you can indicate your preferences in your account profile or contact NACE customer service at firstname.lastname@example.org.
NACE makes membership mailing labels available to organizations whose products or services relate to the profession and the interests of NACE members. The mailing labels contain name, organization, and postal address. If you wish to opt out of receiving mail from such organizations, you can do so on your account profile or by contacting NACE customer service at email@example.com.
NACE does not sell or rent e-mail addresses to any individual or organization for commercial purposes. Contact information may be provided to a third party to facilitate delivery of NACE-related materials or as part of collaborative initiatives with other organizations; in such circumstances, the third party agrees not to sell or use the information except for the purposes for which NACE has contracted.
NACE makes networking and chat opportunities available to its members through Jobplace. Any information that is disclosed in this area becomes public information, and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. NACE cannot control the acts of its members who use this feature. If you disclose personal information, such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, and/or phone number, it may be used by other members for unsolicited e-mail or other contact.
NACE collects all contact names and e-mail addresses of subscribers and the dialogue generated. Dialogue on Jobplace may be archived for later retrieval by a NACE member. Messages go to the archives as they are posted. NACE does not edit discussions provided through Jobplace.
When users submit personally identifiable information via the website, the information is protected both online and offline.
NACEWeb uses firewalls to protect from loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under its control.
The National Association of Colleges and Employers provides members with the opportunity to take their names and organizations off the NACE mailing list or not to be included in membership mailing labels that NACE sells to other organizations. Members can choose to "opt out" of participating in this function.
Also, you can choose to omit having your personal and organizational information displayed on NACE's directories. NACE's directories are searchable databases of NACE members and are made available online to members of NACE.
If you no longer wish to receive some or all communications from NACE, no longer want to be included in the NACE membership mailing labels, or no longer want to be included in the NACE directory, you can manage your preferences through your account profile or by contacting NACE customer service by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, by phone at 610.868.1421, or by postal mail at NACE, 62 Highland Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18017-9086.
