Summary
As we seek to serve those who are Hispanic/LatinX or attending an HSI, our work can become overwhelming and stressful, especially at key points during the semester. We will host a panel comprised of career services, early talent recruitment, and mental health/wellness professionals to share tips on being mindful of our personal mental health and to identify resources, tools, or exercises to cope with stress or overwork. The panel, open to all NACE members, will allow the collective body to share best practices for navigating those most stressful periods of the academic/recruiting year as we seek to bring opportunities to Hispanic/LatinX and HSI students.

Luis Amaro, Co-lead Servg Hispanic, Latin@X & HSI students, Noviam Inc
Luis Amaro’s career in graduate recruitment spans 14+ years, during which he has successfully launched graduate talent teams across multiple global organizations. During his career, he has built and scaled university partnership teams globally, leveraging his experience to help universities give students the tools they need to access careers across various industries. His extensive background in sales enables him to share insights with students about the skills businesses are seeking in emerging talent, while also helping hundreds of students network with Fortune 500 companies and access jobs they would not have had access to previously. Since joining NACE, he has volunteered to co-lead different affinity groups, committees, and subcommittees, including the Individuals Serving and Recruiting Hispanic, Latin@X, & HSI Students Affinity Group; the NACE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee; and the HBCU Subcommittee for Employer Relations. In addition to his work with affinity groups and committees, he has also participated in numerous NACE webinars as a panelist and moderator. The opportunity to continue learning from his fellow NACE members, as well as the opportunity to continue working toward equitable outcomes for graduates, continue to be the main drivers behind his commitment as a NACE member. Born in the United States to a Colombian mother and Dominican father, Amaro's global perspective and commitment to inclusivity have led him to channel his passion for equal access to opportunities. His altruism shines through as he volunteers his time to support students and faculty in schools across North America, particularly focusing on underresourced communities.

Lynette Correa-Velez, Director of Tech Launchpad, City Colleges of Chicago
Lynette Correa-Velez, M.Ed. is the founding director of Tech Launchpad at Kennedy-King College (KKC), which is an E-HSI and a PBI at City Colleges of Chicago. Tech Launchpad is an equity-centered tech initiative at KKC. Correa-Velez is a Boston, MA, native and a trained #CriticalCareerCoach with more than 20 years of professional experience in co-empowering individuals from all industries with a DEIAJ-centered lens. She has received 17 awards and honors for her tremendous support and advocacy in tech for all, such as being a finalist for the 2023 Chicago Innovation Awards. A passionate advocate of closing the racial wealth gap, she is an alum of the 2022 national Colorwave Tech Fellowship Program and an active member of several professional associations such as Latinas in Tech. She is a current third-year doctoral student in DEI in education with a focus in HRD at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and an alum of UIUC with her M.Ed. in HRD and management of e-learning for workplace learning and training. She has her B.S. in business and HR management and a minor in psychology from Lesley College located in her home state of Massachusetts.

Stella Vidal, LMHC,NCC, Self-Love Harbor
Stella Vidal, a resilient Latina psychotherapist, holistic wellness coach, writer, and artist, founded the award-winning, DEI-focused mental health and wellness practice, in Miami called Self-Love Harbor. With her holistic counseling approach, she guides individuals on a transformative journey towards self-love and healing. Stella's unwavering commitment to empowering Latinos and others is showcased in her critically acclaimed book, "7 Intentions to a Happier You." Through her multifaceted talents and cultural background, she inspires individuals to embrace their true selves and live a life of fulfillment.

Dawnelle Prince, College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics, University of Houston-Natural Sciences & Mathematics Career Center
Dawnelle Prince brings 20 years of experience in high education and currently serves as the assistant director of the Career Center for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Houston. Price is a proud first-generation college student and takes pride in having grown up in South Texas in which her passion for DACA and undocumented students is deeply rooted. Her current service activities include serving on the NACE HSI Affinity Group's Serving Undocumented Students subcommittee. She also recently presented on best practices for career support of DACA and undocumented students at the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers (SoACE) regional conference and the Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education (TACHE) state conference.
